Turnli Terms

The rules for using Turnli as a business, team member, guest, or visitor to a Turnli-powered customer experience.

EffectiveSeptember 24, 2026Applies toTurnli web servicesVersionCurrent terms
Important

Turnli provides software for customer-flow operations. A participating business remains responsible for the goods or services it provides, its customers, its staff, its legal obligations, and its operational decisions. Turnli is not an emergency service, payment card vault, medical system, or substitute for human judgment.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Turnli websites, business workspaces, customer-facing join/status pages, demos, communications features, public business pages, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining a workspace, using a Turnli business tool, or using a Turnli-powered customer experience, you agree to these Terms to the extent they apply to your role.

If you use Turnli on behalf of a company, restaurant, service business, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Turnli Privacy Notice explains how Turnli handles personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference where applicable.

2. Eligibility and authority

Business account creators and users who accept contracts or manage billing must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement and must meet the age of majority applicable to them. Team members may use Turnli only within the authority granted by the business owner or administrator.

Guest/customer surfaces do not require a Turnli business account. A guest using Turnli to join a queue, make or manage a supported reservation, receive a private status link, or interact with a business must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person or interfere with another customer’s visit.

3. Accounts, credentials, and team access

Businesses are responsible for maintaining accurate account and workspace information, protecting sign-in credentials and devices, reviewing team membership, assigning appropriate roles, and promptly removing access when a team member no longer needs it.

Do not share authentication links, session tokens, private invitations, API credentials, or other security material with unauthorized persons. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or workspace to the extent caused by your acts, omissions, or failure to secure authorized access.

Turnli may require reauthentication, suspend sessions, revoke tokens, reset integrations, or take other reasonable security measures when unauthorized activity or credential exposure is suspected.

4. Responsibilities of participating businesses

A business using Turnli is responsible for its own operations and for configuring the Service accurately. This includes business identity, hours, services, queue or capacity rules, wait estimates, reservation availability, floor/table/resource information, team permissions, public content, communications, and any integration the business enables.

Businesses must comply with laws that apply to their operations, including consumer protection, accessibility, employment, privacy, communications, advertising, and industry-specific requirements. Turnli does not make a business compliant merely because a feature exists in the product.

Businesses must provide customers with any notices and obtain any consent required for the information they collect or communications they send. Businesses must not use Turnli to conceal unlawful practices, misrepresent availability, impersonate another organization, or process information they are not authorized to handle.

5. Customer relationships and business data

Turnli is a technology provider. The participating business—not Turnli—is responsible for the actual restaurant, appointment, service, product, seating decision, waitlist policy, cancellation policy, pricing, refund, customer-service outcome, safety decision, and other real-world interaction between the business and its customer.

Businesses retain their rights in business content and customer data they lawfully provide to Turnli. The business grants Turnli a limited license to host, transmit, display, reproduce, transform, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service and to comply with law.

Businesses should not place full payment-card information, Social Security numbers, passwords, private keys, medical diagnoses, biometric identifiers, government IDs, or other highly sensitive or regulated data into ordinary notes, customer fields, or support requests. Turnli is not intended to serve as a system of record for data requiring a special regulated-data agreement unless Turnli expressly agrees in writing.

6. Communications, email, browser notifications, and external providers

Turnli supports transactional email and optional browser push for eligible customer-flow notifications. Turnli does not currently offer native SMS sending, managed business numbers, or SMS carrier registration. Existing SMS consent, suppression and delivery records may be retained for historical and compliance purposes; they do not authorize future sends.

Business-owned messaging providers

A business may use an independent communications service under its own account, agreement, billing, and compliance responsibilities. Future supported Turnli integrations may allow authorized connections to those providers, subject to the provider's terms, security approvals, operational availability, and the customer's consent. Planned integrations are not active delivery channels.

Businesses are responsible for obtaining required authorization for messages they send outside Turnli, processing unsubscribe requests, and complying with applicable privacy and communications requirements. Turnli does not assume responsibility for independent communications made outside its service.

7. Plans, billing, renewals, and plan changes

Turnli may offer Free, paid, trial, promotional, or preview plans with different features, usage limits, retention windows, workspace allowances, or operational capacity. The current plan catalog and the authenticated billing surface control actual entitlements; marketing pages do not themselves grant paid access.

If you choose a paid plan, you authorize Turnli and its payment provider to charge the payment method associated with the subscription for the recurring fees, applicable taxes, and other charges clearly presented in the billing flow. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider; Turnli receives subscription and billing status needed to administer access.

Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing period shown in Turnli unless cancellation or a plan change has been scheduled. A cancellation or downgrade normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period after the payment provider confirms the change. Until then, current paid access generally remains available. A downgrade may reduce feature access or limits without deleting preserved workspace configuration and historical data that Turnli continues to retain.

Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not automatically reverse charges from a billing period that has already begun. Any refund, credit, tax adjustment, or billing correction is subject to applicable law, the circumstances of the charge, and Turnli’s then-current billing practices. Turnli may change prices prospectively with notice appropriate to the change and applicable law.

If payment fails, Turnli may provide a grace period, restrict paid features, or move the workspace to a lower plan after the applicable billing state ends. Business owners are responsible for keeping billing information current.

8. Third-party providers and integrations

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and may integrate with services such as hosting, authentication/database/storage providers, payment processors, telecommunications carriers, email or messaging providers, browser/device push systems, calendars, maps, and other business tools.

A third-party service may have its own terms, privacy policy, availability limits, fees, and technical requirements. Turnli is not responsible for a third party’s independent acts or omissions. If a business enables an integration, the business authorizes Turnli to exchange the information reasonably necessary to operate that integration.

Turnli may change, replace, suspend, or remove an integration when a provider changes its API, terms, security posture, pricing, availability, or compliance requirements.

9. Availability, realtime state, estimates, and service changes

Turnli is provided over the internet and depends on browsers, devices, networks, infrastructure, and third-party providers. Service may be interrupted by maintenance, outages, provider failures, connectivity problems, security events, or circumstances outside Turnli’s reasonable control.

Wait times, queue position, seating suggestions, demand forecasts, reservation pacing, capacity signals, delivery states, reports, and other operational indicators are estimates or representations of available data—not guarantees. Businesses remain responsible for real-world judgment and for communicating material changes to customers.

Unless Turnli separately agrees in writing to a service-level commitment, the Service is provided without a guaranteed uptime or response-time SLA. Turnli may add, modify, retire, or reorganize features while seeking to preserve reasonable continuity for existing customers.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use Turnli to:

  • violate law, regulation, court order, carrier rule, or the rights of another person;
  • send spam, unsolicited communications, deceptive messages, or messages to a person who has opted out;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile a person;
  • upload malware, interfere with service operation, bypass security or plan enforcement, probe unauthorized systems, or attempt to access another workspace;
  • scrape or extract data at a volume or in a manner intended to defeat access controls, privacy boundaries, rate limits, or normal product use;
  • reverse engineer or copy protected portions of Turnli except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by law;
  • use Turnli for emergency dispatch, life-safety monitoring, unlawful surveillance, or another purpose where a delayed or unavailable software service could reasonably create serious physical harm;
  • store secrets or regulated data in fields that are not designed for that information; or
  • misrepresent affiliation with Turnli or another business.

Turnli may investigate suspected abuse and may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, the Service, or the public.

11. Turnli intellectual property, business content, and feedback

Turnli and its licensors own the Service, software, design system, trademarks, documentation, and other materials created by or for Turnli, excluding business/customer content and third-party materials. These Terms grant only the limited right to use Turnli as provided through the product; they do not transfer ownership of Turnli technology.

Businesses remain responsible for content they upload or publish and represent that they have the rights necessary to use that content. If you provide product feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you authorize Turnli to use them without restriction or compensation, provided Turnli does not identify you publicly without permission.

12. Turnli Intelligence, automation guidance, and automated insights

Turnli may generate operational summaries, forecasts, anomaly signals, recommendations, capacity guidance, or other automated insights from available workspace information. These outputs can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate and should be treated as decision-support information.

Turnli Intelligence does not replace human judgment and is not legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or other professional advice. A business remains responsible for reviewing an automated recommendation before acting on it and for complying with laws governing decisions about customers or workers.

Guided automation does not authorize Turnli to take an action outside the permissions, plan access, configuration, consent state, or mutation path established for that feature.

13. Suspension, cancellation, and termination

You may stop using Turnli at any time. Business owners may use the available billing and workspace controls to schedule paid-plan cancellation, remove team access, or initiate supported workspace-management actions.

Turnli may suspend or terminate access if reasonably necessary because of nonpayment, material breach of these Terms, unlawful or abusive activity, security risk, provider/carrier requirement, legal process, or conduct that threatens the Service or other users. Turnli will provide notice when reasonably practicable unless doing so would create security, legal, or operational risk.

After termination or workspace deletion, access to data may end. Some information may be retained as described in the Privacy Notice for backups, billing/accounting, security, suppression, dispute resolution, or legal requirements. Businesses should export information they need before termination where an export feature is available.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TURNLI IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TURNLI DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

TURNLI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT EVERY ESTIMATE, REPORT, NOTIFICATION, INTEGRATION, OR THIRD-PARTY DELIVERY WILL BE ACCURATE OR TIMELY. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES A WARRANTY OR RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TURNLI AND ITS OWNERS, PERSONNEL, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TURNLI’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID OR PAYABLE TO TURNLI FOR THE AFFECTED SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. FOR A USER WHO PAID NO FEES TO TURNLI DURING THAT PERIOD, THE AGGREGATE CAP IS US $100.

These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16. Business indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a business using Turnli will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Turnli and its owners, personnel, and contractors from third-party claims, damages, penalties, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from the business’s customer services, business content, unlawful communications, failure to obtain required consent, misuse of customer data, violation of law, or material breach of these Terms, except to the extent the claim was caused by Turnli’s own unlawful conduct.

17. Changes to the Service or these Terms

Turnli may update the Service and these Terms as the product, providers, business model, or legal requirements evolve. Updated Terms will identify their effective date. If a change materially affects an existing paid customer’s rights or obligations, Turnli will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.

If applicable law requires affirmative consent to a change, the change will not bind the affected user until the required consent is obtained.

18. General terms

These Terms, the Privacy Notice, the applicable plan/billing terms shown in Turnli, and any additional written agreement between Turnli and a business form the agreement for the Service. If a separately signed agreement conflicts with these public Terms, the signed agreement controls for that conflict.

If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect and the affected provision will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent. A failure to enforce a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later. Headings are for convenience only.

You may not assign or transfer your Turnli account or these Terms in a manner that would bypass workspace ownership, billing, or security controls without Turnli’s consent. Turnli may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of the Service or substantially all related assets.

Electronic notices, product notices, billing notices, and communications delivered through Turnli or to the account contact may satisfy notice requirements where electronic notice is legally permitted.

19. Contact and support

Business account holders should use workspace support for account-specific issues. General guidance is available at Turnli Support. Guests should contact the participating business for questions about that business’s queue, reservation, service, refund, or customer relationship.

Do not send passwords, authentication links, API keys, full payment-card numbers, or other secrets in support content.
